Vectorizor
Vectorizor is an innovative new software add-on to the Xeikon X-800 digital front-end. It defines a new standard in communication with die-cutting devices and enhances the integration of Xeikon digital press technology & digital die-cutting devices. Vectorizer allows you to take advantage of new opportunities to further automate production and increase your productivity.
In addition to the printable bitmaps, Vectorizor enables the digital front-end to generate die-cut files that can be used to connect to digital die-cutting devices.
As sheets can have varying shapes, only the digital front-end knows the exact positions on the web. The application generates files containing the shape of “frames”, which are transferred to the die-cutting device. At the same time, barcodes, printed alongside the job, send instructions to the die-cutting system on which one of the vector-based shapes to use.
