The press can handle a broader range of substrates at more favorable cost levels
compared to the Xeikon 8600 but with the same quality and productivity. This is increasingly a requirement for high-end variable data printing applications. It is an ideal solution for our customers that are growing volumes and moving to newer applications.
Monika Olbricht, Sales Director Document Printing
The one-pass-duplex web-fed system is capable of speeds of up to 14.5mpm (47.5 fpm)
at a resolution of 1200 dpi with variable dot density. It integrates the variable data capabilities of the Xeikon X-800 front-end and incorporates a 5th color station for spot color reproduction and security applications. Its QA-CD dry toner enables the use of substrates without specific pre-treatment, offers a wide color gamut and has no VOC emissions. It includes spot colors, security toners, special and technical toners.
Feature benefits include perfect color consistency and professional color management, variable printing across both width and length, the ability to handle media weights from 40 to 350 gsm (27 lb text to 130 lb cover) and flexible integration with graphic arts (PDF) and IPDS workflows. Xeikon’s expert services are on hand too to support fast, efficient and profitable operation.
The Xeikon 9600 can be field-upgraded to the Xeikon 9800 to grow with the customer’s application and productivity needs.
Olbricht continues, “From newsprint paper to paperboard, synthetic substrates, just pick whatever media you need for your unbridled creativity in producing value-added applications. From graphic arts quality direct marketing pieces to the most sophisticated web-to-print applications, the Xeikon 9600 enables customers to discover just how profitable a business in high quality color printing can be.”
